Into the Light…

Dear Friends,

It certainly has been a week! Depending on any themes and “busy”ness you are moving through, I am sure it has shown up for you perfectly, known and unknown. We are all moving towards the Light, or shall I say the balance of the Light, but towards the Light, nonetheless.

Sunday holds two major shifts. We are heading into the “bookend” of the partial solar eclipse on Sunday (starting 1:30pm est, viewable only in Southern Hemisphere). The solar eclipse always occurs during a New Moon. We are also experiencing the autumnal equinox for our Northern Hemisphere: the balance of light and dark.

For me, astrologically speaking, I always consider a New Moon a perfect time to set monthly (or larger!) intentions. It is like a reset.

Have you heard of the phrase, As above, So Below? This deserves its own article (or book!), but it basically means that everything happening within is reflecting outside of us and it shows the connection between our own self with the outer world.

The moon is part of this. The lovely moon is feminine in nature. The Earth connects and responds to the moon through the tides, length of days and even the tilt of the Earth. The living beings on the Earth are affected and connected to the moon as well.

As the phase of the moon starts over, so do we; a reset.

With this new moon is the solar eclipse. I always considered a solar eclipse to be a GIANT reset and powerful day to create intentions or manifestations. And while this may still be true, this week felt different for me.

It felt quiet and slow.

Uncomfortable.

I have also started the crone stage. My children are adults and the house is quiet. It’s a new beginning; a reset perhaps. Maybe the quiet and slow was felt for me more deeply than others who are working full time or raising their children.

As I write this, I am seeing two deer walk through my neighbors’ backyard. I love how the Universe reflects back at me. Again, another example of As above, So Below.

The deer totem is a reflection of that gentle peace and quiet.

Due to the discomfort, I stumbled around through the week and my mind became louder and louder and louder and busier and busier and busier.

A dear friend asked me if I was hanging out in my upper chakras. I always consider the upper chakras as spending a lot of time with the Divine. However, this was the perfect medicine I needed to realize I was too much in my mind, my upper chakras.

I knew exactly what to do.

I went to a beautiful wildlife sanctuary near my home. I walked under the tree lit light. I spoke with trees and patted them like horses. Ha! I hung out with more deer and saw several Great Blue Herons (more peace, grace and stillness). I even was able to witness a red-tailed hawk having some breakfast about 5 feet from me. It was a magical morning and just what I needed for balance.

I found my way back into my lower chakras.

The themes this week and weekend are balance, Light, comfort in peace and quiet and resets. Use your own intuition on how to spend your Sunday.

Maybe you’ll spend the day quietly, resting. Maybe you have a busy day planned. Maybe you’ll find balance in both. Maybe its a great day to set some intentions. Maybe not.

Sometimes I am always relieved when a large astrological event is over. However, eclipse seasons can show their affects months prior and months after.

If I may pass a blessing onto each of you:

That you intuitively know how to bring balance into your lives and have the resources to find the balance; be it finances, time or physical well-being.

Have a blessed New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse on Sunday!!

With love,

Ellen x
